Hello, I am a Project Manager for Lochwood-Lozier, we build custom homes in the Redmond, Bellevue, Seattle area. I had a client that wanted a custom venetian plaster mantel for their fire place. I had a hard time finding anybody because of the lost art form. Then I came across Ornamental Plaster Arts, they delivered a product that blew us away with the quality and attention to detail. He is a true artist, a lost art that lives in the heart of Seattle. Thank you guys for your help and we will be seeing you soon again. Thank you, 5 STARS.Posted on Google

Dylan LemmJuly 3, 2026I had a project at the Babcock Theater in Billings Montana that had some ornamental plaster ceiling cornice that was damaged and needed replaced. This is a historic building and we were needing to match what was existing, and they accomplished that! Ornamental Plaster Arts delivered a high quality product in a timely manner. Taha AlabdaliJune 24, 2026I’ve worked with Hamza twice, once on my home for a Venetian Plaster fireplace and I brought him back to match a wall to the fireplace. Both times him and his crew were nothing but great to work with. Clean, quiet, and most importantly he answered all my questions and showed me many different samples to ensure I was getting exactly what I wanted. I would absolutely recommend Hamza and his crew for plaster work!Posted on Google
rose laughlinMay 30, 2026I I love my gorgeous plaster medallion. Sure you can get them on wayfair for cheap but it isn’t the real deal. If you are committed to an authentic aesthetic you need a real piece of art on your 5th wall. Delighted with the craftsmanship!!+1Posted on Google
CammyMarch 13, 2026It was a pleasure to have Hamza and Yussif of Ornamental Plaster Arts, eliminate the cracks in my living room plaster ceiling and apply multiple skim coats of new plaster. The results were fantastic! I was prepared for a messy project with lots of plaster dust, but was super surprised and pleased that their methodology doesn't create a mess or dust. They are very organized and work very quietly and quickly. I highly recommend their services.Posted on Google
Jamie RichardsonMarch 12, 2026Hazma saved our garage! The attic pull-down staircase caused ceiling cracks in the garage of our Magnolia 1936 house. Hazma fixed it all and it looks wonderful! We are pleased with his work, his ability to get us on his schedule the following week, and a fair price for the work. Would definitely recommend.Posted on Google
Jeffrey MorrisFebruary 17, 2026I had been searching for exceptional custom plaster work for my kitchen and dining room ceiling for a very long time. When, by chance on driving home saw their van and just had the gut feeling that this is the company I've been searching for. Followed them till they had to get gas. Lol. Introduced myself and shared of my project and got them all signed on for the beautification of my 1920"s English tudor home. Artistry, craftsmanship was unparalleled to anyone I've ever had for remodeling. Attention to detail with outstanding communication through the whole project was immensely appreciated. Highly recommend Ornamental Plaster arts for peace of mind for your home or business.Posted on Google
Tim PepperellAugust 24, 2025I am a general contractor and have used Hamza and sons on two of my projects with great results. The projects involved matching a curved wall to ceiling detail, which needed a specialized skill only a few could do. Hamza communication was excellent throughout the process, allowing me to schedule and complete the plastering effortlessly. Hamza’s has integrity in all areas and is genuinely a nice person. He and his sons will always be contacted for any future plastering projects.Posted on Google

Emily P.June 16, 2025We have had Hamza work in our home multiple times now and he always does an incredible job. We're so grateful he's in the area providing incredible plaster work. We have a 1920s craftsman with plaster throughout in various textures. Hamza has done multiple repairs across three years for us and always does an amazing job, whatever the project. I cannot recommend him highly enough.Posted on Google
BenApril 11, 2025We have done business with Hamza multiple times over the years and have really appreciated our experiences with him. He consistently does excellent work, he is very responsive, and punctual. When we first bought our home (2020) we had him smooth over our most of the wall (as they were textured) and were really pleased with the quality. We just had come back and put in medallions on our ceiling lights and smooth out our bathroom walls. Even after all these years him and his team still are impressing.Posted on Google
Brian SykesApril 2, 2025Hamza and his crew were fantastic and did an amazing job. We had a sagging and cracking lathe and plaster ceiling in our 100 year old home. They accessed the damage and made the necessary reinforcements and repairs perfectly and did an outstanding cleanup job as well. I highly recommend Hamza and Ornamental Plaster Arts.Posted on Google
Xavier CrawfordMarch 5, 2025Was looking for a company who does venetian plaster which I could and I came across their van while walking my dog. Gave them a call, Yussif came out the same day to give me a quote, and they came back less than 2 weeks later to plaster the fireplace. From how fast they were to come out, to customer service, to the talent these guys carry, I couldn’t be more pleased. Fantastic job guys.Posted on Google
Yonis RazvaniMarch 2, 2025I had Hamza do plaster patchwork all throughout my home back in 2023. It was really difficult to find someone who can do true plaster work, especially since the home was a craftsman home and we wanted to keep everything how it is. Multiple “plaster” I reached out to ended up being drywallers, and I eventually found Hamza. Fast forward to now, I’ve purchased a new home and we wanted our fireplace done in Venetian plaster. We reached back out to Hamza who came by the next day to give us a quote, which was a very fair price. He emailed us a catalog of colors to choose from, came back with his crew a week later to do the work. I could go on for days about how happy we are with the work, excellent job guys!Posted on Yelp

tom meintzJanuary 21, 2025Recently my wife and I purchased a home on lake Washington it was 125 years old. It was in dire need of some customized plaster work and it was referred to this company by a friend who had had work done previously. I went over to my friend's house that had the plaster work done and I was very impressed at the results that I contacted this contractor who did some exceptional work. I cannot begin to tell you how I was impressed with the old world craftsmanship that he did on my walls and on the ceiling. I was also concerned about some customized pillars that were on the wall and he was able to cut out a custom matrix to replicate the missing plaster from the wall. He did it in a timely fashion he even threw in some extras which he did not charge me for which I really appreciate it I highly recommend this individual in this company. Daniel KathmanOctober 8, 2024Ornamental Plaster Arts performed historic plaster restoration on the YWCA Building in Downtown Seattle, WA in 2024. The Building was originally built in 1913, and all the historical plaster has to be restored throughout the building. Hamza has a great attention to detail, his crew alongside himself do high-quality work, are professional, and do a lot behind the scenes taking their molds, and in their Tukwila shop to ensure that molds are accurate, and feasible to aid in appropriate install and restoration efforts. Great Work Hamza!!Posted on Google

Errant GarageApril 16, 2024About five months later and the work is great as the day we had it completed. Best value for plaster in my opinion and high quality results speak for themselves. This home was built in the early twentieth century and one vaulted bedroom ceiling was in dire need of repair. Once the old damaged plaster and retaining drywall ceiling portion was all detached; I decided to have the walls redone as well. I'm pleased with the results and appreciate the artisan craftsmanship displayed. I think the finish is beautiful and couldn't have been executed better. The flatness and uniformity is astonishing.+6Posted on Google
D. ShinesMarch 31, 2024Had the pleasure of Hamza come to my home and work in two rooms the bathroom and kitchen. He used Marmorino plaster and it looks AMAZING! I was seeking old world charm within a modern home and it works. The level of care and detail Hamza puts into his work is really appreciated. The end result is beautiful. If you are seeking an artist, Hamza is your man. I am still amazed that I was able to find a third generation master! The skill level shows. Thank you again for taking my home to the next level. L HFebruary 19, 2024I am a very particular when it comes to work done in my home; after reading the multiple excellent reviews posted about the quality of work Hamza delivers, my husband and I are pleased we chose him to complete the work on our 100 year old home in the Green Lake area. He restored the plaster walls and ceiling (walls were in need of repair). He is a very friendly guy and responsive to our queries, shows up when he says he will be there - the only fault that comes to mind is when he cleaned off his boots and equipment in our back yard, plaster debris was left scattered. He is honest and will tell you he does not clean a lot. With that in mind, he is the man for your plaster job.Posted on Google
Marsha Evans (Em)December 2, 2023I recently had an ornamental plaster ceiling installed -- something I've wanted to do for years. I spent a lot of time finding the right ceiling (ultimately from a picture on Houzz) and even more time trying to find someone with the skill to do it. I found Ornamental Plaster Arts after about three months of looking. They responded immediately to my call, showing up quickly to estimate the job and talk it out. Once they got started, they showed up when they said they would, worked hard, and put in place the loveliest ceiling you've ever seen. Honestly, I can't stop looking at it. The workmanship and artistry are amazing. Additionally, they skimmed and repaired the walls, including a mess of a wall that had tons of old glue spots on it - so now I have smooth beautiful walls to go with my ceiling art. I couldn't be happier with the high quality of the work and will use them again.Posted on Yelp

Hamza takes pride in what he does and that is rare to see nowadays. Terri CardNovember 15, 2022Our home was built around 1920 and we had damage from water leaks (which was pretty significant) and from having our electrical upgraded - lots of holes in the walls. Our living room needed so much work that Hamza re-plastered it completely and now it looks beautiful! He also created medalias to go under the overhead light fixtures and they are absolutely beautiful and enhance the look of our home. There was damage in every room of our house. After only 4 work days, all of the work was done and we are completely delighted! I can recommend Hamza and Ornamental Plaster Arts whole heartedly. Our home is in a historic old north Tacoma neighborhood and is a classic bungalow - it was very important to us that this job be done right, and it absolutely was.Posted on Google

He was responsive to texts and came when he said he would. He also recommended a painter (D’Unique Painting) who followed him and he made sure that they came in as soon as he was done so my project wasn’t delayed. Megan DoséApril 24, 2021Hamza knows what he's doing and can really transform the look and feel of your home! My husband and I just purchased our first house and the only thing we really didn't love was the texture on the walls, especially in the basement. Add to that, some settlement cracks in the bedroom ceilings, loose plaster around one window, as well as a bad DIY wall patch in the main bedroom and we quickly decided that we wanted to invest in smoothing out the walls of the whole house before we moved in. Since our home was built in 1945, we knew the walls were old school lath and plaster and that we needed a plastering expert to come in for repairs. Enter Hamza and his team. Within 24 hours he answered my inquiry email, and a few days later we did a quote estimate onsite for a price that we could agree upon. Despite having a really tight deadline for getting the work done between our house closing date and our move-in date (only two weeks!), he made it happen and we were able to successfully begin work the day after closing. He even recommended a painter friend that was used to working behind him so that everything was dried, cured and painted just in time! The results are night and day and we are very happy with our pretty new walls. Granted, the results aren't perfect everywhere as we had a very small and tricky kitchen with tight corners that his tools couldn't always reach. But Hamza and his team did their best, and overall the house looks amazing. The living room and main bedrooms are especially gorgeous! And the little imperfections here and there are kind of nice in their own way too because it keeps the character and age of the house consistent with the older doors and molding. A word of advice though, for anyone considering doing plastering work in general. It's a very messy process. Be prepared for that, especially, with cleaning up the dust. It would have been better if we had given ourselves extra time for the cleanup. Especially since you have to put all your light fixtures and light/plug switch plates back once the process is done. In addition to giving Ornamental Plaster Area a call, I do recommend trying to do a whole house job before moving in or after moving out so it doesn't get all over your furniture! Something like 3-4 weeks will help make the process less stressful.Posted on Google

Michael MoynihanJune 30, 2020Hamza did work our 1910 home. Removed 2 old built in closets and a plaster wall in an old doorway and then replaced it with a smooth solid plaster wall to make a nice flat surface for us to have new closet systems installed.Posted on Yelp
Brandon A.June 29, 2020Showed up on time for everything. Repaired our plaster ceiling to be sturdy and smooth. Needed it done before we started painting. Friendly guy as well. Afterwards, after a little sanding and texture (by me), the repair is not noticeable and blends in very well.Posted on Google
Lee SatterfieldJune 15, 2020Hamza did an incredible job fixing the plaster in our 1912 home. It was an incredible value and the work was excellent. Hamza is very professional and it was a pleasure working with himPosted on Google
Diego CarranzaJune 9, 2020Getting work done on walls is scary. Getting work done on a 90 year old plaster walls and ceilings is terrifying. I recently purchased a 1927 home in Seattle, Ballard to be precise, and the plaster walls and ceilings were a mess. Uneven, delaminating cracks, settling cracks, the whole works. In total 4 rooms -- two bedrooms, one office, and the living room -- needed extensive work! I called in several dry-wall companies and a few plaster people: I was quoted outrageous prices and there was a complete lack of confidence in the work; I was told things such as "there's a chance some of your moulding will break" or "your ceiling is going to lose a few inches of height as a result of this work"! I'm sorry but what?? I finally found Hamza of Ornamental Plaster Arts and called him in for a quote. He arrived right on time, was very professional, and personable. Immediately I could tell this is someone who takes pride in and truly loves his work. Hamza was very fair and gave me an amazing quote -- way under what any of the drywall people were charging -- and he got right to work the very next day which was great for my schedule. Over the course of 3 days Hamza transformed my rooms from dilapidated to brand news -- seriously I felt like the house had a new breath of life! The walls and ceilings were completely smooth and beautiful. I could totally tell Hamza has done countless repairs over the years (30+ years!) and is truly a master craftsman. He's told me over the years he's done churches, houses, apartments, old buildings all over: Fremont, Ballard, University District, Central District, Downtown Seattle, Capitol Hill, etc. Hamza and his team were tidy, methodical, and did a great job cleaning up after themselves and I could not recommend them more and will most definitely use them again if/when I need to do more plaster work on future homes! As a bonus I asked Hamza for painter recommendations; he provided me with someone who gave me a very fair rate and again did amazing work painting the walls after Hamza repairs.Posted on YelpJordan M.March 16, 2020I would highly recommend Hamza and his team to do any plaster work that you need done well. I asked for a quote from him and he responded in less than hour and then came out to my house the following day to give me an estimate. He gave me a very reasonable price estimate and then returned to my house a few days later to do the work. Hamza was always very responsive, on-time and followed through with what he said he was going to do (which when hiring contractors can be hard to find). From the time I contacted him initially, to getting my work done, took less than a week, which is amazing in this current environment. I had some small patch areas and large floor-to-ceiling gaps from where I had removed some walls, that I wanted to be filled in with plaster. Hamza and his team did the work in less than a day and it looks great. If you are in need of plaster work, look no further and hire Ornamental Plaster Arts today.Posted on Yelp
Brian T.March 13, 2020I have to give this guy an "A+" for effort. Our regular drywaller/plaster contractor disappeared so I reached out to Hamza at Ornamental Plaster Arts. Every chat, text and email was answered in a short amount of time and was very professional; we even set a same week appointment. In a change of events, our regular guy reappeared and since we've worked with him before, we decided to cancel with Ornamental. I would recommend Hamza to anyone because even just getting a call back or appointment set within a reasonable amount of time, is very commendable for any contractor. We work with many and wish they were all like Hamza especially when it comes to communication. Thank you - and will be back in touch as needed.Posted on Google
Artem DyakonovMarch 9, 2020Hamza did excellent work for us in our 1908 house. We needed ceiling and wall repair and wall rebuild in the first floor. He is great guy to work with. My wife and I are very happy we hired him. Thank you!Posted on Yelp
E W.March 3, 2020We had Hamza repair ceilings in our 1913 home in Seattle. He quoted us on the spot and worked quickly to get the job done. He is easy to communicate with and works efficiently. We will call him again if we need more plaster work in the future.Posted on Google
Eric BurkeJanuary 16, 2020My home is over 100 years old in the Mt. Baker neighborhood of Seattle, and the plaster walls and ceilings are starting to look their age. Plaster work is a dying artform. Hamza from Ornamental is an artist. He did an masterful job restoring our ceiling to its original condition.Posted on Google
Liz AderholdJanuary 14, 2020We have a 1923 home in Greenlake and they repaired two ceilings. The work was done quickly and a small followup was done quickly as well. Communication and scheduling were easy for this small project, and the work seems to be good quality. The price was excellent.Posted on Google

Would highly recommend.Posted on YelpJen K.September 21, 2019We needed help with repairing the walls and ceiling in our 1925 home and Hamza did an amazing job. He fixed a huge hole in the ceiling and the rooms where the walls were falling apart. He arrived on time (early!) and was able to finish the job and quickly clean up. Repairing plaster is an indepth job (he's got videos) and the finished result was seamless. If you have an old home and want to keep the authenticity of the build, I highly recommend these guys.Posted on Yelp
Christina W.July 28, 2019Amazing job. Very professional and the owners son is learning a great trade, both dad and son were awesome. No doubt I would hire this company again. If you have plaster, put this company contact info in your phone. Could not be more pleased!Posted on Yelp
Julia C.June 10, 2019Hamza did a quality job plastering the walls in my 100 year old house. I appreciated his prompt call and professionalism. His work lives up to his reputation. I do wish there was less leftover mess in terms of debris and plaster remnants on my floors, walls and surfaces; but in the large picture, the skilled workmanship is what I paid for. Thanks again!Posted on Yelp
Joel A.April 6, 2019We discovered a mold issue just before we were about to fly to Vegas. Hamza was able to deal with the mold issue (in coordination with our dog sitter) before we arrived back.Posted on Yelp
Baker S.April 5, 2019We found Hamza on a fluke, and couldn't be happier that we did. As first time homebuyers we were nervously excited about our 72 year old home, and it's plaster walls. It is important to us that we retain the integrity of the home, and of the stories it holds-- when it came to plasterwork, we needed some general maintenance and some more serious repair. When our original plaster guy no-showed we panicked-- the snowball effect on the other subcontractors and work to be done would be devastating. We stumbled upon Ornamental Plaster Arts on Yelp and with no reviews, hoped for the best. Hazma, and the work he's done, is beyond "the best". He was responsive, communicative, and clearly an expert at his craft. After looking at his website and the complexity and depth of his work, our flat plaster repair is clearly beneath his skill set, but Hamza didn't treat it, us or our home that way. He genuinely treated it like it was a cathedral. He enjoys his craft and it shows in the final product. We had a decades old repair-gone-wrong in the living room and fairly extensive repair in our kitchen from old plumbing work, the removal of old wood burning stove venting, some weird mold etc. He took it all down to the lath, built it back up, and patched a number of smaller scale holes/damages left from our re-wire. AND as a bonus Hamza is kind, funny, and knowledgeable about the quirks of old homes. We found our guy. It'll be Hamza and no one else.+0Posted on Yelp
